DAYS haze
As it starts off a new year, I hope DAYS gets all of its sand back in the hourglass in '06 and stops being so sloppy. The upcoming Zach-killed-off storyline has enormous potential for impacting a wide canvas of characters, if only they do it right. (Though no soap will ever do this storyline as well as GH did in 1993...memo to Soap Opera Digest: this plotline is NOT groundbreaking as you claim.)
I'll probably be content if they just don't drop the story in midstream, like they did with so many others in 2005:
I'll probably be content if they just don't drop the story in midstream, like they did with so many others in 2005:
- Blind Abe was treating Lexie so badly, pushing to the arms of the yummy Tek. Now Tek has completely vanished and Abe is being nice as can be.
- Frankie was brought in to immediately investigate the shady dealings of Patrick, who has similarly disappeared. Maybe he's off somewhere with Tek? I hope he's not up to anything, because Frankie sure has forgotten about the investigation.
- Why did Brandon, who wanted his name cleared for the in-bed-with-Sami setup, have zip to do with the resolution of that storyline? The character was still supposedly in town during this, and has yet to be heard from. I guess he still hasn't been told that he could have sued Kate for drugging him.
- I guess we're to assume that Jan Spears is still laid out in a coma. The wrap-up (or lack of one) to the love cage storyline was among the most unsatisfying in DAYS history.
- And how many Jack-isn't-really-dead storylines are they going to foist on us? Isn't this his fifth, and his third overall inside a year?
At least they're keeping Austin Peck undressed. That's something.
