Passions hunks: Who's staying? Who's going?

With Passions saved by DirecTV, inevitable budget cuts were expected to trim the cast significantly. So which Harmony hunks will be hanging on when the supernatural sudser makes the switch? Here's what we know so far:

Eric Martsolf (Ethan), Dylan Fergus (Noah), Galen Gering (Luis), and James Hyde (Sam) have all signed contracts and will stay with the show.

As for the two hunks I'm getting most asked about, Adrian Bellani (Miguel) and Mark Cameron Wystrach (Fox), they are not on the primary list, though that may not necessarily mean anything at this point. Heidi Mueller (Kay) is on the list, and both of them leaving would completely uproot her storyline, barring more recasts.

Also no word yet from Charles Divins (Chad) and Adrian Wilson (Chris). James Stevenson (Jared), though, is definitely not staying with the show. I will report back when I know more.

Luke, fear not! Your boyfriend awaits!

Fans clamoring for ATWT's gay-only-in-theory Luke Snyder (played by Emmy nominee Van Hansis) will finally have their wishes granted on June 1st. That's the first airdate for Jake Silbermann, who'll play a WOAK co-intern named Noah. The hook-up isn't supposed to occur until July, and it'll be played from the parental impact angle. Fingers crossed that the suddenly uneven ATWT can get this one right.

In other ATWT hunk news, studly Agim Kaba (Aaron Snyder) heads back to Oakdale this summer.

Roerig out...and right back in?

In a weird bit of casting news, TVGuide.com's Daniel Coleridge is reporting that young soap hunkster Zach Roerig, who just left his role as ATWT's Casey Hughes last week, will now join OLTL in the recurring role of Hunter. This is odd, of course, since it was widely reported that Roerig was leaving Oakdale in order to pursue acting opportunities in L.A. (OLTL, like, ATWT, tapes in New York City.)

The $64,000 question then, is that if Roerig was willing to stay in NYC for OLTL, why not stay at ATWT where he is beloved by fans? Who knows...I guess we should just be glad his cute self is hanging around.
