DAYS 1988: Marvelous Mike Horton (Michael T. Weiss)

After another morning of looking through my old soap tapes, I revisited the fourth soap episode I ever recorded, and it was the first I taped that blantantly objectified a gorgeous daytime man. These clips are from Mike Horton & April Ramirez's first date on DAYS, and the air date was June 8, 1988. (Longtime fans: yes, this is when DAYS was really good!)

To this day, I still say Michael T. Weiss was the funniest soap hunk in daytime history. His kick-ass body was just gravy. Even though Mike Horton went through lots of portrayers, for me there will always only be Weiss. I was pissed early last year when he only ranked No. 56 on the list of the 100 Sexiest Soap Hunks of All Time. Obviously my fellow judges never saw this episode that you're about to enjoy...

Please post comments and let me know what you think.

Clip 1
Thursday, June 8, 1988 (09:38 total)
The date begins (and almost abruptly ends), but I'm only looking at the tight blue T-shirt and awesome white jeans. Original hourglass opening included.

Clip 2
Thursday, June 8, 1988 (07:45 total)
Now we're getting somewhere! The shirt comes off, and the stud gets soaked. Hilarious lines back at his apartment, including "So you like my equipment?" I do, Mike! I do!!

Clip 3
Thursday, June 8, 1988 (02:36 total)
The date ends sweetly. Remember, if you ever fall into a river, Mike Horton's your man.

I can make Mark Collier blush

A native of Ocala, Fla., ATWT's just-departed Mark Collier was recently interviewed by that city's local magazine. And lo and behold, it contains a few shout-outs to my site.
